The APRN will provide comprehensive clinical services in collaboration with supervising physicians, including diagnosis, examination, consultation, and treatment for both in-patients and out-patients in a clinic and hospital setting.
In the cardiology ambulatory setting, the APRN works as part of a multidisciplinary team, managing cardiovascular needs and collaborating with outpatient testing groups such as ECHO and stress testing. In inpatient care, the APRN manages acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions, ensuring safe, evidence-based, and high-quality care.
The role requires advanced medical and nursing knowledge, clinical competency, sound judgment, professionalism, effective communication, accurate documentation, and ongoing professional development.
